Hello Custom House
I hope you all enjoyed the weather over the bank holiday. Let’s see if the raise in temperatures also raised the crime rate on the streets of Custom House.
Assault 02/05/2026 – An anonymous caller near Alnwick Road stated that a male was leaning through a car window, into the car. When the car began to drive away, The man began to scream. The driver stopped the vehicle, and pushed the man to the floor.
Public Order 02/05/2026 - A man with a history of mental Health issues was shouting racial slurs from his front garden in Edwin Street. When challenged by a local resident, the Suspect, who was seen to be holding a knife tried to goad the victim into his house. Police attended and arrested him for Affray and racially aggravated public order. 01/05/2026 – A German Shepard attacked a puppy in King George V Park. The owner of that German Sheppard has then made threats towards the owner of the puppy. The Investigation is ongoing.
Theft Of Vehicle (Attempted) 03/05/2026 - A person, dressed in black attempted to steal a motorcycle from a front garden in Lowe Avenue. The unknown Suspect made off prior to police arrival.
Violence Against Women and Girls 01/05/2026 - A man has grabbed and pressed himself up against a woman in Murray Square and only released her when challenged by another member of the public. Her partner soon attended the scene and headbutted the suspect...twice. The man who sexually assaulted the women was arrested. Any wrongdoing by the head-butter will be dealt with at a later date.
Theft from a Person 02/05/2026 - A man riding his motorbike had his phone snatched from its holder when he was passed by another motorcycle. The phone was tracked but suspects are yet to be identified. 03/05/2026 – A person alighted a bus and realised they were no longer in possession of their phone. No suspects were seen but they suspect a theft occurred.
Other Crimes 05/05/226 - Four males in dark clothing and baseball caps entered a flat in Martindale Road. They saw two people inside and immediately exited again. Nothing was taken, nothing was said. The motive for the enter is unknown at this time.
That’s your lot for the week, but In other news, Beckton have had a couple of distraction thefts at supermarket cash machines. Please be aware of people looking over your shoulder when entering your PIN.
